When our YMCAs work collaboratively, we help more people experience social responsibility in action – locally, nationally, and internationally. These numbers and voices speak to some of the community-building we supported this year, near and far.

• 24,000 volunteers contributed over 1,150,000 hours through their local YMCAs.
• 87,880 YMCA participants beyond Canada's borders were positively affected by the work and friendship of 46 Canadian YMCAs.
• $78,000 was raised through YMCA Canada's Haiti Earthquake Appeal. Canadian YMCAs also raised funds in response to disasters in Chile and Pakistan.
• 121 Peace Medallions were awarded by YMCAs in recognition of community members' peace-building activities.
• 36 Canadian YMCA representatives travelled to Hong Kong, joining over 1,100 delegates from 80 countries at the 17th World Council of YMCAs.
• $26 million in financial assistance was provided to ensure that YMCA programs and services are accessible to everyone in our communities – regardless of their ability to pay.
