This year, YMCAs across the country have come together to envision The Canada We Want and the YMCA that can help our whole society grow stronger. With this vision in mind, our YMCA federation is collaborating in a number of ways, especially through Plan Y: a strategic plan that will strengthen our federation and deepen the impact of our work.
- "The YMCA we want is respected for being champions in communities, having strong core programs, and nurturing the potential of kids as well as having effective fitness and recreation."
Young Leaders Group, quote from strategic planning discussions - "The YMCA we want is economically sustainable, intergenerational, internationally recognized, and health and well-being oriented."
Board & Senior Management, quote from strategic planning discussions - "By working with other YMCAs, we have achieved great successes, such as reducing our insurance costs while enhancing our risk management capabilities. Savings in these areas enable us to devote more funds to strengthening the many communities we serve."
Monica Merrifield, Vice-President of Risk Intelligence, YMCA of Greater Toronto. - "The SAM 2.0 system, our new approach to service excellence, not only helps us to work together more effectively, it helps us deepen our relationships with members and strengthen our communities."
